Alexandra Raisman
Aly Raisman, an American gymnast, was a member of both the Fierce 5 2012 as well as the Final Five 2016 US Women's Olympic gymnastics teams. Aly Raisman took home three gold medals at the 2012 Olympics, in London. She also took home a bronze medal on balance beam. She was one of the few American to win many Olympic medals. She took gold in the team competition during the 2016 Olympics that made her and Gabby Douglas the first Americans to win back-to-back golds. Silver medals were also awarded at the all-around event and floor exercise. The three years that passed between the two Olympics the athlete took a break. Her gold medal winning American team also won the two World Championships. Gymnastics was her first sport since age two, and her favorite sport is floor exercise. Aly is an active member for the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organisation in honor of her grandmother who passed away due to cancer. She is planning to create a profession from fashion. Aly would like to expand her line of leotards and socks. She is writing a book entitled Fierce to be published in the coming months.
